Restore a Yamaha Dynamic Guitar no 80

Right now I'm busy restoring a 1960 's Yamaha "Nippon Gakki" Dynamic Guitar No. 80. It's not an easy instrument to restore, due to the ornamentation that's "uplaid" in stead of "Inlaid", the satin or matte finish, the akward spacing of the tuner posts, etc. etc..

But it's a nice looking early Yahama and I'm curious to learn how it will sound when it 's finished. I planned to update this page every week with a series of slideshows.

And now we can watch and hear the sound of the old instrument on youtube, played by Michael:
Sound as we 're on tune at last

Adjusting the bridge.
After stringing up I found out that the bridge was too high, the holes for the strings badly and irregular placed, stringangle too flat, guitar buzzing, to go short: there was more work to be done.
